Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

Description

Summary: Repairs and maintains refrigeration equipment and other equipment throughout the warehouse by performing the following duties in a cold environment.

Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs to equipment and facilities according to technical trade. All technicians will be assigned Maintenance Technician trade. Maintenance Technician - Have the ability to diagnose and repair all equipment/facilities as trained. Perform and maintain a refrigeration Preventative and Predictive Maintenance program through regular testing, calibration, and inspection. Inspect MHE to confirm compliance with OSHA and operational standards. Communicate refrigeration issues with the main system, compressors, evaporators, condensers, water treatment and other refrigeration equipment. Adhere to all company and governmental regulatory and safety policies, procedure, and standards. HVAC/Refrigeration Technician - Maintenance Technicians assigned to this trade must have the ability to diagnose and repair equipment/facilities and have been trained and certified to complete HVAC/Refrigeration system work orders. Responsible for the cleanliness of the engine room and other HVAC/Refrigeration components Maintain daily, monthly, and annual reporting and communicate any data and sampling issues with leadership. Complete other maintenance related duties as necessary. Increase efficiency through proper routing and prioritization of workload. Ensure all work orders are completed within the predetermined timeframe. Follow established protocols to plan and execute a route that has the greatest impact on priority, sales producing, and overdue work orders. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and assigned mobile device to prioritize and document work orders. Follow established guidelines by starting and finishing work shifts at locations based on prioritization criteria. Administrative tasks Perform all inventory control procedures for transferring, selling, requesting, and returning parts and/or materials to or from the Support Center or other parts warehouses. Complete all warranty returns regularly completing all associated requested paperwork. Use assigned company credit card according to all policies and procedures. Complete monthly expense reports timely and accurately. Properly maintain company equipment Maintain assigned tools per department procedures. Customer service Provide good customer service by communicating effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and others as necessary. Monitoring and assisting contractors, while they are on site, to confirm all safety standards are followed. Assist members of the Maintenance Team with MHE and building upkeep. Monitor and provide appropriate response time while on-call. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Maintain constant communication with the maintenance team to confirm the building is always covered in the event of an emergency. Compliance to company standards, systems, procedures, and policies Abides by company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Must be reliable and punctual in reporting to work as scheduled; enforces company time and attendance policy. May not sign contracts on behalf of the company. May only make expenditures from vendors for authorized items. Unauthorized vendors, unauthorized products, and quantities exceeding normal business volumes must be approved by the Director of Maintenance. Experience and Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration, ALTA and/or blast cell experience preferred. Must be available over a flexible working schedule. High school diploma or GED, additional training at a trade related school preferred. HVAC/Refrigeration Technicians must maintain a Universal 608 EPA Certification and complete a CARO exam, or equivalent Notice to applicants applying to positions in the United States
