Job Description:
Patriot Group International has a full-time, exempt finance opening for a Sr. Project Financial Analyst. This position is located in the Operations office located in Herndon, VA. This position reports to the Vice President Operations.
Job Description:
Perform a variety of finance support tasks in the finance department including:
• Complete understanding of program control concepts and ability to create and manage Estimates at Complete (EAC), forecasting, strategic planning, variance analysis, etc.
• Ensure program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate
• Performs monthly review of projects and performance against budgets/cost proposals with variance explanations
• Monitor funding status on a continual basis
• Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time to include financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs)
• Carefully monitor and analyze program revenue recognition and profit recognition
• Create, review and approve invoices for submission to customer and monitor billing status
• Analyze, understand, and report on assigned unbilled balances
• Collaborate Program Management & Operations teams in development of price proposals and cost estimates, including documentation of pricing assumptions and basis of estimates
• Proactively work with the Program Manager and team to successfully satisfy programmatic and financial organization objectives
• Support audits of financial information by internal and external auditors
• Provide ad-hoc assistance, analysis and reporting as requested by management, team members and customers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• At least 5 years of Project Control experience supporting programs for a Government Contractor including FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus Award Fee contract types
• Individual must be a proactive problem-solver and strong team player
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
• Must work well both individually and in a team environment
• Excellent analytical, problem solving with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience interfacing effectively with program management team and various functional organizations
• A U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance required
Additional Desired Skills:
• Experience managing an IDIQ contract with multiple active task orders
• Prior experience working in, or supporting, dynamic and sensitive programs
• Experience with financial accounting and reporting systems desired (Cost Point, Cognos)
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards. (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work at a desk using computers and other typical office equipment for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day.
