Duties
Major Duties:

• Responds to routine questions concerning administrative processes, including:
• Time and Attendance Issues,
• Expression of Interest (EOI) procedures,
• Personnel Actions,
• Acknowledgment of Personal Events.
• Assists in the administration and processing of Personnel actions including:
• Promotions,
• Retirements,
• Resignations,
• Detail Actions,
• Award Reporting,
• Acknowledgment of Personal Events,
• Pre-Exit Clearances.
• Prepares reports for distribution.
• Assists with maintaining and updating Admin's SharePoint site, TEAMS channels, and other databases as needed.

The applicants selected will be offered an excepted service appointment without time limitation. The starting date of employment is expected to be approximately December 2022 or January 2023.

After successful completion of the program requirements and based on FDIC's needs, the selectees may be non-competitively converted to a Term or Permanent position based upon an evaluation of performance, completion of at least 640 hours of work experience (Up to 320 hours of the 640-hour minimum service requirement may be waived if an Intern/Intern NTE completes a minimum of 320 hours of career related work and has demonstrated high potential as evidenced by outstanding academic achievement and exceptional job performance as defined below) acquired through the Internship Program. However, service in the FDIC Pathways Internship Program confers no right to further employment in the competitive or excepted service.
Outstanding academic achievement means an overall GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale; standing in the top 10 percent of the student's graduating class; and/or induction into a nationally-recognized scholastic honor society.
Exceptional job performance is defined as a formal evaluation conducted by the Intern's/Intern NTE's supervisor, consistent with the applicable performance management program that results in a rating of record (or summary rating) of higher than Fully Successful or equivalent. The FDIC considers a rating of "Successful" in its two-level Performance Management Program (PMP) as equivalent to a rating of higher than Fully Successful for the purposes of waiving work hours.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To be found eligible for this program, applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree seeking program (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis; (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.50 out of 4.0; and (3) be in good academic standing. Education requirements are established by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and must be met by close of announcement. Below are the requirements:
To qualify for the CG-4 level, applicants must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree;
OR
Have 1 year of general experience to include: progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled;
OR
Have a combination of education and experience: equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
An academic year of undergraduate education is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in an accredited college or university.
