Yorktel is currently seeking a Live Event Support Technician, Virtual who will be responsible for the successful execution of virtual, and hybrid corporate communication services. Includes scheduling and customer coordination, production coordination and logistics to ensure the proper personnel and resources are allocated and provided in support of customer events. The Live Event Support Tech oversees all aspects of virtual production(VMIX), including streaming media. Qualified candidates must be proficient with a wide range of technologies related to virtual production tools, streaming media, and virtual meeting rooms like Webex, Zoom, and Teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

This position regularly collaborates with customer stakeholders and internal team leaders to define and refine production vision, plan, schedule, budget, execution, deliverables, and quality assurance. Open channels of communication are maintained with all parties to ensure continual feedback loops throughout the preproduction, production and post production phases of the engagement.


The position will:

proactively monitor appropriate communications channels
promptly respond to requests from customers, colleagues and other stakeholders
delegate or escalate where necessary but retain ownership to follow-up and ensure follow-through
Produce virtual events using virtual technologies (VMIX, Virtual Meeting rooms)
Understanding of streaming protocols (RTMPS)
Production management and coordination virtual, high profile corporate events
Comprehension of camera operation, lighting and field audio.
Write and update standard operating procedures, processes, lessons learned and best practices.
Research state-of-the-art equipment, emerging technologies and industry trends
Ensure that quality expectations are achieved, standard operating procedures are followed, and production costs are within budget.
Knowledge of and adherence to Yorktel policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in broadcast production, technical certification from trade school, or related experience
Minimum of 2 years of direct, relevant experience
Skills and Qualifications

Experience in virtual production environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with high level, high profile executives and public figures
Excellent customer service, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Detail oriented self starter; must be capable of working independently with little supervision
Present a professional appearance at all times
Technical expertise in a broad range of state-of-the-art production equipment
Familiarity with streaming media and digital media formats and encoding
Holiday, evening or weekend hours may be required
