About the Role:

The VP, Global Strategy & Business Development, works closely with the EVP of Global Strategy to drive the business strategy to achieve LexisNexis' revenue and profitability goals and to maintain and enhance its industry leading position. Responsibilities encompass the full range of strategic and tactical planning as well as business development and M&A.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Independently develop and implement high priority strategic plans and performance improvement projects across LNLP to drive revenue and profit growthPlan and manage large scale projects from design to execution, solving key strategic issues facing the businessManage multiple projects, keeping stakeholders updated and timelines on trackConduct quantitative analysis with hypothesis testing to drive recommendationsSummarize analysis and recommendations in presentations and papersManage and deliver annual group strategy cycle deliverables supported by junior members of the teamDeliver output for the annual operating plan cycle including strategy reviewsManage the delivery of Board and Investor presentationsDirect and review market and competitive intelligence analysis from junior team members for internal reporting and monitoring Support M&A pipeline development and the evaluation of M&A opportunities with members of cross-functional global teams Support the delivery of LNLP CEO presentations and senior leadership events Contribute to the development of the global strategy team by sharing knowledge across the team and business and participating in team learning and recruiting initiativesRequirements:MBA or equivalent education and experience15+ years experience, or 10 years including 6+ years in a top-tier consulting firmQuantitative modeling in MS Excel; strong MS PowerPoint and Word skillsKey candidate qualities include:Results driven - reliable and delivers high quality output in a timely manner, prioritizing and strategically thinking through implications of the workProblem solving - uses logic and rigorous methods to solve problems and can work comfortably around risk and uncertaintyComfort with ambiguity - able to break down complex problems and deal with ambiguity to drive problem solving and outcomesOrganizational agility - knowledgeable about how organizations work and knows how to get things done through formal and informal networksLearning on the fly - learns quickly when facing new problems to solve and is open to change and experimentationIntegrity and collaboration - seen as an individual who can present the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner and effectively collaborate with teamsFlexible Working

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range.Salary Range: 217,235.00USD - 403,535.00USD
