Job Title: Electrical Engineer Intern

Job Description

JRC is currently seeking a Circuit Designer Intern. This position will support NSWC Crane and their customers. This position reports to JRC’s Systems Engineering and Integration Division. The purpose of this position is to optimize chip geometry for PCB schematics.

Key Duties:

· Design and analyze Integrated Circuits (ASIC or FPGA)

· Design and analyze Printed Circuit boards schematics and layouts

· Develop and review requirements and technical documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy

· Coordinate with other project teammate partners including Artificial Intelligence industry leaders

· Develop, maintain, issue and track system engineering priorities including requirements development and maturity

· Review system documentation for standardization and technical accuracy

· Support the team in arranging technical reviews, maintaining and authoring agendas, minutes, and action items as required

· Apply statistical techniques to optimize hardware production selection criteria

· Strong technical writing and documentation

· High quality communication and presentation dexterity

· Knowledge of neural networks and Artificial Intelligence desired

· Demonstrates a willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks

Specific Skills/Qualifications:

· Must be pursuing an MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Degree from an ABET accredited institution

· 2+ years’ working knowledge of Electronic Design Automation

· 3+ years’ working knowledge of ASIC or FPGA integrated circuit designs

· Ability to test analog mixed signal and digital inputs

· 1+ year experience with Python or C#

· Must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance at the SECRET level
