Responsibilities

Serves as IT Project Manager with responsibility for managing a variety of short-and-long-range projects that support the adoption and implementation of the ITIL service management framework throughout CIT. The incumbent also provides advice and guidance to IT specialists and managers in other CIT and IC organizations on new developments and best practices regarding IT service management, ITIL processes and project management. Manages a diverse portfolio of short and long- range projects that support the adoption and implementation of the IT service management framework throughout CIT Projects focus on establishing processes and assigning process ownership to drive CIT's transition to a service-based organization Plans, and manages the full scope of project activities from beginning to end including: defining project scope, requirements, and objectives; identifying risks; developing, presenting, and gaining support for business cases and project plans; identifying and advocating for the resources required to accomplish project objectives; establishing project schedules and milestones; planning, implementing, and overseeing project activities; managing budgets and leading the work efforts of project team members; coordinating and integrating project activities with other related programs; reporting to management on project activities, progress, developments, and issues; and exercising accountability for the accomplishment of project objectives on time and within budget Ensures that any required follow-on actions are implemented Evaluates project outcomes to ensure that desired results were achieved and to document lessons learned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline This position requires a minimum of twelve years experience, of which at least nine years must be specialized Specialized experience includes: project development from inception to deployment, expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or Sub-contracts of various types and complexity General experience includes increasing responsibilities in information systems design and/or management Strong client facing and communication skills required With a Master's Degree (in the fields described above): ten years of general experience of which at least seven years specialized experience is required With a Ph.D (in the fields described above) eight years of general experience of which at least six years specialized experience is required With fifteen years general experience, of which at least twelve years specialized experience, a degree is not required #cjpost
