In this role, you will be responsible for executing, and supporting the full life cycle of acquisitions and divestitures, and similar transactions, for Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). This role will report to the Executive Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Partnerships.
Responsibilities for M&A include: industry surveys, external engagements for candidate identification and screening, transaction concept screening, development of strategic rationales, detailed valuation estimates and assessments, synergy assessments, development of Letters of Intent, due diligence planning and execution, risk assessment and mitigation, overseeing the negotiation of acquisition deal terms, and integration planning.
Responsibilities for Divestitures include: development of internal business case and valuation estimates, development of confidential marketing materials, developing a strategic target list, developing and maintenance of financial summaries, disentanglement and separation planning, collection and curation of data room materials, administration of data room, tracking diligence questions from buyers, critical engagements with outside banks and advisors, overseeing the negotiation of deal terms, development of transition services agreements and the development of all related documentation and plans.
This role is highly collaborative and requires working across RMD and the broader Raytheon Technologies (RTX) organizations. You must build productive business relationships with colleagues, working across business functions and P&L organization boundaries to support our proposed transactions. Critical collaboration touchpoints include colleagues in strategic planning, finance and legal departments, RTX Corporate Strategy & Development, RTX Ventures, and our colleagues in similar roles in affiliated organizations across the enterprise.
This position is highly visible to RMD corporate leadership. You will develop and deliver highly effective communication packages to summarize project status and critical issues with senior executive leadership.

This is a remote position that requires some travel to company sites and other locations to support the business
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree in a technical or business field, and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience Experience analyzing, leading, and supporting the execution of M&A transactions Experience in developing strategic business cases and related decision analysis Financial modeling, business valuation, and/or Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) skills, etc. MS Office and relevant research and financial data services tools (such as S&P Capital IQ, Factset, or Bloomberg) The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
