Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Manager - Supply Chain Sourcing - Solar. Intimate knowledge of the solar construction, equipment, services, and material supply marketplace is required. An understanding of solar industry contracting methodologies as well as a network of supplier contacts in the solar industry are essential to supporting the development and expansion of Buckeye's supplier network in the solar industry. This position is charged with aligning with Solar Development and Project Execution activities to develop seamless supplier transitions through these phases in addition to translating and communicating market trends and pricing; and develop appropriate contracting strategies that manage risk, speed to market, and commercial considerations. These position requirements are critical for the wide variety of projects that require creative contracting schemes for projects to be executed across the US and the Caribbean.

Role Summary:

The Manager - Supply Chain Sourcing - Solar reports to the Director, Solar Project Execution. This position is primarily responsible for solar strategic sourcing and buying activities. This position delivers sourcing and buying solutions for construction, equipment, engineering services, and materials related goods and services for solar projects executed by Buckeye. As such, the incumbent is charged with developing, negotiating, implementing, and maintaining competitively advantageous supply arrangements as the solar sourcing functional expert. The incumbent is also recognized as a key member of the teams that they support.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

• Lead the solar sourcing process to ensure that suppliers are capable, competitive and fit-for-purpose for the business need

• Develop, negotiate, implement, and sustain solar supply contracts consistent with business objectives.

• Provide leadership for developing and standardizing work processes, introducing and sustaining supply base competition, and leveraging spend whenever practical.

• Sourcing, contracting, and procurement thought leadership and strategy development for large capital projects (e.g. EP, EPC ,EPCM )

• Supplier relationship management including maintaining and driving value from key solar supplier and contractor partners

• Provide leadership for understanding, monitoring, communicating, and responding to dynamic global solar marketplace conditions and business drivers to maximize leverage and minimize risk.

• Lead development of new agreement templates for implementation on Buckeye's various solar projects

• Ensure that the sourcing process is consistent with the necessary regulatory and legal requirements

• Participate as a Team Member on Cross-Functional Teams as Supply Chain expert

• Anticipated Program Spend over next 5 years: Greater than $1.5 B

• Average Annual Spend Managed: $250-500MM

• Supply Contracts Size Range: Up to $200 million

Position Requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field is requiredExperience: 5 to 15 years of experience of Supply Chain Management (Strategic Sourcing and Procurement)Experience working in the Solar industry• Travel Requirements: 25% travel

Certificates & Licenses:

• ISM - Institute of Supply Management certification is an asset

Essential Functions:
