Job Description:

Science Systems and Applications Inc (SSAI) is seeking a Systems Engineering SME to support an exciting Engineering contract at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD.
Specific duties for this position may include the following:Develop and maintain the logic tables, timing files, and software required for detector characterization at the Detector Characterization labDevelop and maintain the assembly language compilers and debug tools for ACADIA ASICs for detector testing and characterizationDevelop and maintain the software for data acquisitionDocument the software interfaces to the hardware in order to support operation of the RST Detector systemSupport validation and verification of the ground support equipment (GSE) detector software in support of instruments and missionSupport qualification testing as neededRequired Qualifications:MS in engineering field with 15 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceknowledge of software to operate Detector Read-Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC) for different types of detectorsProficient knowledge of assembly languageProficient in hardware descriptive language (HDL, Verilog, etc)Familiar with the design and development requirements of the various missions to be supported in this taskKnowledge and experience in analog and digital electronics design and testingAble to work in a team environmentMust be US citizen or permanent residentcollaboratively, proposals for funding additional projects.
