Job Description:

Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI) is seeking an associate application developer for support to the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The successful candidate will provide development support to an ASDC Agile team, to include, but not limited to Python, Javascript, develop unit tests, and to maintain and produce software applications. The candidate will work with senior developers to develop software and websites that support the ingest and distributition of scientific data. The candidate will assist in preparing project plans, reports, and documentation for software development efforts, as well as design presentations.

Required Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science or closely related field and a mMinimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to develop code in Python, PHP and/or JavaScriptGit code management practicesWorking knowledge of LinuxAgile DevelopmentFamiliarity with the software development lifecycleCapability to work both independently and with small teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be a US citizenDesired Qualifications:SQL and relational database experienceAble to perform test driven developmentAbility to research and implement emerging technologiesAmazon AWS Cloud and/or Kubernetes/OpenShiftDjangoEOE,including disability/vets
