Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) has an opening for a Manager, Contracts in the Advanced Effectors product area within RMD's Advanced Technology organization. This group focuses on key pursuits as well as development execution efforts that serve as the growth engine and front of the business, critical to the future growth of RMD. RMD is working on the forefront of technology, advancing industry knowledge and capabilities to meet and overcome the complexities of hypersonic flight, and accelerating development of hypersonic weapons using state-of-the art expertise and investment in new infrastructure, people, and technology. Fielding these weapons is vital to our national security.

The individual in this role will be part of a very collaborative Contracts team supporting captures and development programs within the Hypersonics Effectors portfolio, which includes offensive and defensive hypersonic programs such as Hypersonic Air-Breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC), Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), and Multi-Azimuth Defense Fast Intercept Round (MAD-FIRES). The Hypersonics portfolio includes both prime and subcontract efforts of varying size, and with multiple customers such as DARPA, Air Force, and Lockheed Martin. This highly competitive total system development area requires quick turn proposal responses, robust Intellectual Property strategies, and novel contracting approaches. This position offers the candidate a broad opportunity to engage in varied contract activities across several programs of strategic importance to RMD, with successful execution enabling future hypersonic pursuits.

Please note that this role is designated as hybrid and is located in Tucson, Arizona. There is flexibility for telecommuting initially, but relocation to Tucson is expected within 3 months of acceptance.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)Conduct proposal reviews and coordinationNegotiate contractsReview estimate at completion (EAC)Support program management and execution reviewsDevelop Intellectual Property and investment strategyProvide general contract administration supportWork closely with the Program Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit, and negotiate pricing proposalsProvide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issuesEnsure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policiesAdvise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance or related field8 years (or an advanced degree with 5 years) of applicable business-related experienceExperience with US Government contractsThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
