Job Description:
Works directly for the PMS 525 Cybersecurity Manager and provides support to the PMS 525 Technical Director on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) related matters in a fast–paced, demanding environment.
• Review and comment on Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) cybersecurity processes
• Assess Navy Combat Systems for cybersecurity compliance through the use of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), cyber test results, and managing RMF packages through the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process
• Performs system security control selection, implementation, and validation in accordance with the Security Categorization Form and NIST SP 800-53R4, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
• Builds program briefs in PowerPoint, coordinates, and compiles program cybersecurity documentation for the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) shipbuilding program
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), RMF, Platform IT (PIT), and the implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques
• Prepares technical meeting agendas, records meeting minutes, and maintains meeting action item reports
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Cybersecurity experience within NAVSEA
• Experience in executing NAVSEA Cybersecurity policy and processes including DoD Instruction 8510.01, RMF for DoD Information Technology.
• Ability to generate security control baselines per NIST SP 800-53R4, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
• Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), STIGs, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS )
• Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Navy Qualified Validator designation
• Bachelor’s Degree - Engineering or related technical discipline
• Prior experience with U.S. Navy Foreign Military Sales acquisition programs
• Prior experience managing packages through the RMF process
