Job Description:

ASRC Federal Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Windows System Adiministrator to support a government program at MDA.

Location: Huntsville, AL

Clearance: Active Secret

Responsibilities:

Planning System Center Configuration Manager hierarchy and site system roles.
Experience managing a configuration manager implementation in the clientserver components and feature sets
Experience with configuration manager disaster recovery planning and execution
Knowledge of standard client/server, networking, and internet fundamentals
Management of site communications. (Bandwidth, Senders, Secondary Sites, etc.)
Planning and securing SCCM using security certificates.
General monitoring of site health via SSRS, log files, and the SCCM console.
Planning, configuring and implementing a backup plan to mitigate the loss of SCCM services in the event of a disaster with the least amount of data loss possible.
Manage and configure User and Device collections
Deploying Operating System Images (primarily Windows 10) via SCCM OSD.

This includes:

Configuring WDS, configuring PXE, configuring the VM build environment, and integrating with MDT
Build / Capture / Update Windows 10 images
Manage images (updating of Drivers, etc.)
Creating Distribution Points and distributing the images accordingly
Creating a deployment Task Sequence and deploying the Task Sequence
Creating Packages for Operating System Deployments
Deployment of Applications and Software Updates including:

Creating and deploying applications with user device affinity, compliance settings, Software Center and task sequencing.
Monitoring updates via Automatic Deployment Rules (ADR), Update Groups, Deployment packages, and other methods.
Reporting on the success or failure of Application deployments
Management of Compliance Settings by creating and importing Configuration Items (CI)
Manage clients using Group Policy, WSUS, logon scripts, Client Push, etc. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of systems operations
Assists with Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Property (GFE/GFP) contract hardware/software maintenance, repairs and processes. Responsible for maintaining inventory and organization of different types of software and hardware resources.

Requirements:

Knowledge of the product flow encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment, and logging in detail
Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and Active Directory (AD) and troubleshooting as it pertains to configuration manager
Knowledge of the fundamentals of Windows management instrumentation (WMI) and how it is utilized by the configuration manager
Experience in developing and assessing IT planning documents that address enterprise-wide issues and strategies.
Advanced knowledge of SCCM infrastructure, client, and deployment management
Advanced PowerShell scripting skills
Group Policy design and management
Deep understanding of Windows Client support
Previous support of an anti-virus console
Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through.
Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments.
Must closely follow MDA and DoD specific network protocols and methodology.
Must have a current, active Secret clearance.

Education/Experience:

BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (will consider other technical disciplines) and six plus (6 ) years of related experience preferred
