Kearney & Company is seeking an Associate to support the IC in Chantilly, VA. Duties include:
Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environmentFoster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environmentExecute the day-to-day accounting and audit activities of the engagement and conduct fieldwork dailyGather audit related dataDemonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government's financial and management responsibilitiesAssists in drafting and preparing project deliverablesUtilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learnMust be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-orientedAbility to demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Business Administration with a major in AccountingMinimum Active Secret with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph for the IC (Intelligence Community)Ability to travel up to 25%, barring any travel restrictions associated with the current COVID-19 environment
Accounting and auditing experienceExperience working on financial statement auditsExperience working with Federal Government and/or DoD clients150 credit hours that are required to be CPA eligibleWhile the preferred qualifications are a plus, they are not required because of Kearney's robust training programs
