Kearney & Company, P.C. (Kearney) is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant to join our team. The Senior Consultant will work as part of a team, helping our clients better understand cloud security and compliance requirements and standards. This role will become a trusted advisory to our clients and requires a deep understanding of cloud framework requirements. The Senior Consultant will also support our company's growth into cloud compliance activities and will work directly with our practice leader to develop relationships and strategies to grow our company.

Senior Consultant duties will include:
Serve as a cloud security adviser and Subject Matter Expert (SM) related to Department of Defense (DoD) information security and cyber risk, projects, or any other initiative that may have information security implicationsProvide expertise as it relates to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (SP) and Standards, and/or other Federal Information Technology (IT) security guidanceDevelop relationships across DoD agencies as they work to move to the cloud.Support the development of assessment and authorization deliverables for cloud providers, including but not limited to risk assessments, system security plans, IT contingency plans, and incident response plansSupport the monitoring and update of agency information security policies and procedures, including System Security Plan(s)Support the tracking, reporting, and remediation of agency Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M)Assist in conducting Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) (quarterly and ad hoc) tests to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and practicesMonitor and report on updates to applicable authoritative guidance on a continuous basis.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience; or, 8 years of experience including 2 years in a consulting role. Demonstrated experience across information security and cyber risk domainsUnderstanding of Cloud Security ArchitecturesKnowledge of Federal Information System (IS) requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST)Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications:
Security focused industry certifications, such as a CAP, CCSK, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CRISC, CCISO, or an Amazon Web Services (AWS)-specific certification.
