Kearney & Company is seeking a Manager to join our team! This role will have experience assisting with financial processes and advising Federal CFOs on solutions to improve financial statement and operational reporting. Responsibilities:
Ability to interface with clients on a day-to-day basis with excellent verbal and written communication skills Deliver presentations and lead meetings with Federal clients. Develop quality work products that adhere to applicable regulations and customer requirements Demonstrate technical competency, knowledge, and professional care commensurate with completion of assignments, and an eagerness to learn and absorb new technical and industry-specific information Identify potential problems and solutions through analysis and recommend and support technical solutions Completing tasks related to budgeting, accounting, and financial management Knowledge of Federal financial and accounting policies, standards, and system requirements Experienced in working with multi-year/no-year appropriates and differing appropriations Understanding of budgetary and proprietary accounting principles Preparing financial statements and related notes Adapt to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Participate in weekly/monthly team status meetings and provide written status reports
BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or another technical field Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Finance and Accounting operations, including support to Federal AgenciesAbility to communicate clearly in writing and verbally Proficiency in understanding federal financial statements Understanding of basic accounting principlesAbility to obtain a government agency suitability (U.S citizenship required)
Relevant-industry certifications such as CPA Experience in the Federal government environment including USSGL, Financial Reporting, or GTAS experience Federal Financial systems, specifically general ledger, and financial reporting applications
