Overview
GKG is looking to fill a National Engagement Strategic Subject Matter Expert (SSME) position.

Responsibilities


Assists the government in maintaining active communication, interface, and coordination with employers to assist in their recruitment efforts by providing qualified USAR Soldiers, Veterans, and dependents. Assist the government in identifying opportunities with private, public, academia, and governmental sectors and lead to Soldier interview, employment, and or certification.
Provide Monthly reports must identify the jobs, referrals, interviews and matches for private, public, academia, and governmental sectors, and submitted monthly to the COR on the 5th of the following month.
Serve as contact person to whom private sector partners can communicate and assist with programs that support Soldiers, Veterans, and Family members in employment or certification efforts.
Assist the government in assessing and identifying skill sets that match industry sectors. Assist in identifying workforce needs and develop strategies that will align these needs with the priorities and expectations of private sector partners to meet their demands.
Coordinate in the development of partnerships for workforce planning with industry representatives/private sector partners and academia. Assist in the establishment of effective partnerships with industry to create private sector partner recruitment pipelines to meet the needs and capabilities of industry strategic goals. Contractor shall follow up with industry representatives and private sector partners quarterly, to be provided ten days after end of quarter.
Report shall at a minimum, consist of number of industry contacts, job interviews, and job placements.
Assist and support P3O to develop and implement strategies that can lessen or eliminate workforce skill gaps with industry partners .
Assist the government in inquiring with private sector partners to identify workforce skill gaps; and assist in developing and implementing solutions to address the identified gaps. Examine the Army Core Competencies that exist within industry and the specific skill sets actively sought out by these industries.
Assist the government in determining the knowledge, experience, skills, and abilities required by these industries and how they relate to the same criteria of Soldiers.
Assist the government in building training and certification programs that are mutually beneficial to the military and civilian workforces while enhancing the skill sets of Soldiers, by working with industry partners to strategically develop and implement systemic changes that increase access to and support success of USAR.
Advise government on the labor market sectors for changes/topics that require a new knowledge or skill set.
Provide and incorporate SME advice to enhance P30 services for soldiers regarding career specific trades as they relate to the U.S. Army’s basic branches for soldiers seeking employment.
Advise soldiers on relevant and specific career fields that Soldiers are seeking employment in within their respective geographic areas based on this subject matter expertise, research and knowledge of the current labor market.


Qualifications
Demonstrate basic familiarity with the operations and functions of the USAR.
Required to prepare briefings for senior leadership.
Work from the Office of Chief of Army Reserve (OCAR) at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or obtain an approved accommodation request (as required by law) within 30 days of employment.
