Current Need

We are searching for a Sr. EDI Manager in Irving, TX to join the team.

Position Description

The Sr. Manager EDI provides leadership and is responsible for delivery and support of the company’s EDI processes in support of key business functions.
Ensures that the team delivers agreed upon work products within the timeframes and quality characteristics specified
Continuously improves delivery of EDI services, achieve EDI Operations and Support performance targets while maintaining adherence to defined McKesson processes, workflow, methodology and technology standards
Effective resource manager for EDI team members, sets clear objectives, provides coaching and mentoring, addresses performance, facilitates resolution of issues
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for providing oversight of employees making recommendation on design and configuration decisions in an existing EDI application.
Reports to the Director Software Engineering.
Ensures that the team delivers agreed upon work products within the timeframes and quality characteristics as determined by the Director Software Engineering.
Resolves issues and removes impediments for the EDI services area.
Escalates the issues that may delay completion of committed work to the Director Software Engineering to find an acceptable resolution.
Meet with other parties including Business SMEs, Project and Portfolio Management team, McKesson IT liaisons, EDI teams, Web & BI Team, and other subject-matter experts to analyze problems, find solutions, and resolve issues.
Manage and monitor project tasks / remedy support and help ensure that all tasks are completed satisfactorily within the timeframe specified.
Collaborate closely with Project and Portfolio Management teams to ensure issues are quickly resolved and the components produced properly integrated with other release components.
Facilitate and ensure the completion of deployment and early life support obligations
Schedule and lead or attend ongoing meetings regular team activities
Bi-Weekly 1:1s with direct reports
Weekly Staff meeting with direct reports – review capacity planning and project pipeline
Weekly Capacity, Demand and Resource Planning Meeting
Bi-Monthly Operations and Support Meeting
Manage team service, operating levels and other commitments
Assist in the negotiation of an Operating Level Agreement that governs services provided by the Scrum Team
Facilitate weekly status reporting to Director Software Engineering
Ensure team information is current and accurate
Actively review and manage backlog
Collaborate with Portfolio Management team to proactively understand and plan for future work
Represent team at key cross-functional groups including Design Validation sessions for new business and active projects.
Effectively guide and manage the team resources. Provide mentoring and oversight of direct reports.
Develop and promote a productive, collaborative, learning-based team environment.
Clearly define responsibilities and expectations for each team member.
Provide consistent feedback on performance
Support development opportunities.
Perform effective issue management and resolution
Complete all McKesson HR related activities per defined schedule
Provide real-time guidance and leadership to Scrum team members

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Critical Skills

7+ years professional experience in technical or project management position
3+ years in a similar service role, e.g., Development Lead, BA Manager, Project Leader
Strong SAP/EDI experience
Solid understanding of SAP/EDI business processes for 3 or more modules
Solid understanding of SAP/EDI technical application architecture best practices
Strong functional and technical background.
Strong functional experience in the SAP Procure to Pay and Order to Cash modules, as well as good understanding of other SAP ECC modules.
Project management skills with preferred experience with Agile Methods and Scrum
Technical skills for understanding the development, configuration, implementation and support of business solutions
Process knowledge and process methodology background

Background in IT technologies and customer solutions
Ability to work in a team environment and collate feedback from all levels within the business and technical environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex technical environment
Demonstrated change leadership skills (i.e., ability to effectively manage communication, negotiate successful outcomes, identify risks, engage correct stakeholders, etc.)
Demonstrated success in managing a team of technical resources
Accountable and empowered ability to take responsibility, self-start to ensure realization of desired business outcomes
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team of technical resources
Collaboration and cross-functional leadership must be able to work with leaders from other teams
Creative problem solving, able to quickly assess issues and implement solutions
Deep and balanced knowledge of both business and technical processes to help guide team to successful outcomes
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
