About the opportunity

Our Water and Catchment Management sector provides a focus for advising our clients on delivering sustainable drainage, flood risk management and civil engineering solutions. Water and Catchment Management comprises in excess of 400 staff based in the UK and Europe, but with reach into the Middle East, Australasia and America.

The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

About you

You are proactive and use your initiative to drive projects. You are happy to take ownership of client relationships and contribute to business development. Enthusiastic about planning and delivering innovative schemes to manage flooding, you wish to develop and expand your project management, business development and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects and welcome additional responsibility.

Responsibilities will include;
Budget and programme management on a variety of projects taking responsibility for timely and efficient delivery.
Contract administration, including invoicing, forecasting, schedule management, quality documentation
Promoting best practise for the health, safety and wellbeing of your project team
Maintaining risk registers
Recognising and managing contract change
Reporting on performance
Engaging with the client and other stakeholders
Identifying new business opportunities with existing contracts and supporting sales opportunities across the wider business.




Here's What You'll Need:

Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or a related discipline

Proven ability to project manage a variety of projects types and sizes

Proven ability to work under NEC contracts

Strong commercial awareness and experience

Working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy, guides and design standards relating to flood risk management

Ability to develop, price and agree scope of services;

Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team

Excellent literacy, communication, analytical and numeracy skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Demonstrable knowledge of Safety in Design and Designers responsibilities under CDM
