Job Description:

WR is potentially seeking a candidate to become a part of the Manufacturing line of business as a Manufacturing Manager in supporting WR's targeted manufacturing in military electronics and electrical products and systems. Providing professional and proactive support by being responsible for quality, productivity, on-time delivery, cost reduction, reporting, and management of production shift supervisors, and manufacturing technicians, and assemblers.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Manages day-to-day manufacturing activities offering technical expertise and guidance. Leads application of Military Standards, compliance with government contract requirements including application of common FAR clauses. Provides expertise and hands on management of Cost Point Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and execution. Develops operational plans for integration of military electronics and electrical products. Resolves technical and operational concerns, directs correction of manufacturing issues. Leads and provides expertise in production, capacity planning and scheduling activities. Informs organization of required lead times, availability, and status of ordered components and consumables. Establishes procedures and practices to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement. Provides technical support for preparation of bids and proposals. Develops organizational plans for the manufacturing unit and drives attainment of established operational metrics. Organizes human and capital resources as required to support metric goals and operational plans. Prepares periodic reports on manufacturing metrics. Leads manufacturing area technical staff and inventory control. Collaborates with R&D/Product Engineering on the development and introduction of new products. Participates in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Contributes to and enforces company policies and safety regulations.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

High School Diploma required, with Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Operations, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred. For non-degreed candidate manufacturing related certification preferred such as APICS, Lean/Six Sigma. Seven (7)+ years of experience with manufacturing management or additional two (2)+ years of manufacturing management experience; total of ten (10)+ years, for non-degreed candidate. Self-starter with outstanding precision and strict attention to detail. Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) expertise, (CostPoint preferred). Experience in execution of defense contracts. Expertise in military requirements and electronics or electrical systems. Knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Project. Strong skills in management, work planning, capacity analysis, and scheduling. Excellent communication and customer interface skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, vendors, and employees. The ability to relate to at all levels of the organization, and establish relationships with people with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds, and educational levels. The ability to function comfortably in a fast-paced environment and to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance
