Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

WR has a potential need for a Senior Systems Engineer to support design, development, integration, testing, and documentation requirements in support of autonomous and unmanned system efforts for Department of Navy customers.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Independently analyzes the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources. Oversees the integration of onboard and off-board sensors, and weapons payloads and launchers in USVs using systems-level approaches, including MBSE. Independently applies generally-accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documentation of systems. Provides assistance and routine consultation to users in the development of systems and environments. Installs systems or provides support for modifications and upgrades of systems and environments. May direct the activities of technicians to assist in these tasks. Independently manages system maintenance and repair activities. Independently and efficiently diagnoses and resolves system problems. Acts as liaison with manufacturers and vendors of systems and application products, especially with regard to problem diagnosis and resolution. Plans and executes system version upgrade releases and custom interfaces. Works with others to develop alternative system and software designs. Consults with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections. Writes documentation or reviews documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures. Supports Business Development activities including but not limited to presentations and their development, meetings, contract and proposal support. 15-20% travel to be expected to support customer initiatives on-base or other government locations.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Master of Science in Systems Engineering Ten or more (10)+ years of experience working as a Systems Engineer Experience supporting autonomous systems a plus Model-Based Systems Engineering experience a plus Software programming and development experience a plus

Active Secret Security Clearance required.
