How you will contribute to LifeNet Health's success:

As the Manager, R&D Lab Operations, you carry out cutting-edge research in tissue engineering and cell therapy using state-of-the-art technologies. This job will consist of both laboratory management responsibilities and performing/assisting with experiments.

What you'll do:
Provide lab support to the research staff, including management of lab notebook program and ensuring proper operation, calibration and certification of essential equipment.Provides oversight and guidance to R&D labs, to include IRM, Product Development, Vivo Biosciences and RTP sites. Helps assign and maintain current and new lab space.Coordinate ordering and maintaining supplies and ordering and procurement of approved major equipment. Responsible for R&D Capital Expense process.Manage lab safety programs as a lab safety officer, and train and monitor laboratory members, as needed, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, guidelines, and/or SOPs.Develop, write and review laboratory methods and SOPs. Responsible for keeping Document Control updated with departmental SOPs and forms.Oversee and administer all of Research & Development departmental training programs.Provides leadership and coaching to direct reports.Interactions with outside vendors, service personnel, industry, and academic collaborators, etc.
What you'll bring (Minimum Requirements):Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Biology or related required; Master's degree in Life Science, Biology or related preferred. Seven (7) years related laboratory experience required; Ten (10) years preferred. Five (5) years Management Experience required.

These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize (and reprioritize) to meet expectations of multiple customers. Communication Skills: Be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, to internal and external customers.Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office and in Project Management Software (e.g. MS Project). Leadership Skills: Ability to lead without authority and across remote locations.
