Our team supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for an Installation Coordinator to assist with scheduling and tracking shipboard installations and life cycle upgrades onboard MSC vessels. You will support a contract headquartered out of Chesapeake, VA but this position has the availability to be 100% remote. Primary responsibilities include:
• Plan and track shipboard installation of computer networks, providing deliverables such as Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) via Microsoft Project files to the customer
• Directly interface with MSC employees to track and report ship schedule changes and shipboard requirements relevant to installations
• Attend weekly meetings with MSC staff and other third-party support contractors for tasks that require collaborative efforts during shipboard network installations
• Coordinate and/or provide status updates to internal StratasCorp Department Management and Incident Managers to capture additional work to be completed during scheduled visits and provide paths forward for unresolved issues
• Report issues pertaining to scheduled tasks that may impact shipboard installation scope and timeline to StratasCorp management
• Review Daily Status Reports, Tech Locators, and other trackable reports for quality control checks relevant to scheduled tasks
• Assist with the tracking of shipment and travel requests related to scheduled ship visits
Job Requirements
• Must possess current IAT II certification, including an appropriate Computing Environment certification, in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
• Must have 5 years of progressive IT experience with recent experience within the past 3 years
• Must have knowledge and/or skill set in some or all the following areas (as they relate to network installation and configuration): COMPOSE, CANEs, ADNS, GCCS, CENTRIXs, and/or CND
• Must have knowledge and/or skill set with all standard Microsoft Office applications
• Must be well-organized with meticulous attention to detail; this is a fast-paced environment and multitasking will be required
• Must be able to communicate professionally via e-mail and phone in a timely manner
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project is a plus but not required
