SAIC has an immediate opening for a software release coordinator to help guide the planning, release tracking, and day-to-day activities of a custom front-end application integrating various data sources from security, HR, and other personnel management systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with development teams, customers, system owners, and others to gather requirements, prioritize release sprints, test updates, and ensure quality standards are maintained. The successful candidate will apply practical judgment to identify and remove impediments, keep teams focused, and deliver quality and transparency in the release process while working in a continuous integration environment.
Detail oriented, highly organized, and the ability to multi-task in a results-oriented and customer focused environment Responsible for keeping on track, identifying the release schedule with consideration to Client Delivery dates and enterprise wide dependencies Assess and identify risks within each release & leading up to release day Provide regular release status updates and communication to stakeholders Responsible to ensure production monitoring is in place, develop detailed deployment plans for programs, and identifying rollback plans Strong verbal/written communication skills and facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups. Lead deployment calls, project launches and own release review meetings Leadership skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. Ability to make proper judgement decisions on deployment calls Knowledge of downstream integrations & functions to help navigate roadblocks Support end-to-end process for production issue resolution including impact analysis of the issue, identifying the client impacts, tracking the fix through dev/testing Work with engineers, developer, and customers to understand priorities, manage expectations, and mitigate risks Track cross-system interdependencies and ensure that they are considered in the release scope and schedule.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field of study, or equivalent experience Previous release and/or project management experience Experience with Agile software development best practices, including test-driven development, and continuous integration Demonstrable experience leading and facilitating meetings At least one of the following Certifications: Scrum Master, CSM/PSM, SAFe Agile, PMI-ACP
