SimIS Inc, an innovative information technology solution Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), is currently seeking a dedicated Full Stack Developer.

Build containerized application tools following the 12 Factor Application methodology, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Extreme Programming (XP). Develop products as part of a small cohesive balanced team consisting of a Product Manager, Product Owner, UI/UX Designer, and Data Scientists (as applicable).
2 or more years within the last 4 years’ experience in full-stack JavaScript/Python/Java development, in front-end development (e.g., React, Angular, etc.) and/or in back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Django/Flask, SpringBoot, etc.) and/or in database design and programming (mySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Experience with REST APIs design and development, microservices architecture, and deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS or similar public cloud offerings.
• Experience with: IaaS; implementing scalable cloud-based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures and microservices; deploying resilient, scalable, high- throughput systems.
• With Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure testing strategies
• With fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production
• With systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging
• Developing applications embracing Agile principles
Candidate should have a portfolio on GitHub and/or Open-Source forums showing contributions.
Security+ required or CISSP certified preferred.

Must have a Secret Clearance
This is a on-site position in Norfolk, VA.
