The Model Based Systems Engineer will work hand in hand with project leads, system architects, software and hardware engineers as well as requirement and various subject matter experts to create comprehensive SysML models which accurately document the system under development from requirements through delivery.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain SysML models in support of various DoD project efforts Perform Requirements Management for DoD projects using MBSE tools and techniques Provide guidance to other team members on model development and MBSE best practices Elicit information to be included in model through technical discussion with program stakeholders and team members Engage with project leadership to understand project needs and to provide ongoing recommendations for MBSE process improvements Work with product owners and scrum masters on a regular basis to develop and maintain Epics, Stories and a prioritized backlog of MBSE related tasks needed to fulfill project timelines and deliverables Communicate MBSE progress through a series of iterative deliverables and demonstrations
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Effective communication and analysis skillsDemonstrated success in systems or software modeling using SysML, UML or a similar graphical modeling languageExperience with Requirements Management, Requirements writing and Requirements Management toolsIn depth knowledge of Software Development Life CyclesFormal education or equivalent experience in a systems or software engineering disciplineMust have or qualify for a Secret clearance
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
OCSMP Certification as Model User or Builder INCOSE Certification as ASEP or CSEP DoD Acquisition / DoDAF experienceFamiliar with Agile Development Practices such as Scrum, Scale Agile Framework (SAFe)
