PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform as a Systems Engineer for the US Army's Program Manager Tactical Network (TN) Provide systems engineering and software test support to the NetOps convergence effort to synchronize NetOps capability across PM TN and the Deputy PMs responsible for its fielding Provide systems engineering support and direct government engineering teams on tactical NetOps tasks Perform engineering oversight and supervision of contractor engineering/integration teams in technical development and production of NetOps platforms for voice and data network nodesConduct lab testing and support field assessments of various hardware, storage arrays, network switching devices, and Power Supplies to ensure correct operationSome travel required
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degreeMust be able to interact with system users to translate their requirements into system, hardware, and software requirements and designExperience in the development of test strategies, and solving engineering problems or managing the solution of engineering problemsRequires excellent written and oral communication skills to present technical information in reports or briefings
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Master of Science in Systems Engineering Previous experience supporting PM at Aberdeen Proving Ground or a US Army Program Manager Familiarity with NetOps Experience with software developmentExperience supporting Network Integration Exercises (NIE)Experience in one or more of the following: Tactical Routing, switching, QoS, multicast, and VoIP
