PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

SRC is continuing and expanding their support of the Navy's Computer Network Defense (CND) program, on a 5 year delivery order. The SRC team provides cutting-edge engineering, analysis, integration and life cycle sustainment support for the CND systems. The purpose of the Navy's CND program is to augment CND capabilities and integrate them into the unique environments encountered by Navy forces. Navy CND is an integral part of the cyber defense posture, protecting the Navy's component of the Global Information Grid (GIG) from exploitation and strongly linking to critical infrastructure protection. Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) - Atlantic requires resources to support the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) and Integration activities for the Information Technology for the 21st Century (IT-21), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONENET) networks, to enhance network and cyber security.

As a member of the CND Training Team, the candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining training material for the CND Program and CND Suite. This position requires instructional design skills, as the candidate must also have extensive experience developing and maintaining technical training curriculum. The topics of training will focus on networking, networking security appliance, firewall and virtual private network (VPN) operation and management. The candidate must also possess some technical knowledge of networking and virtualization sufficient to build operate, maintain, and instruct with the Virtual Training Equipment. There are also opportunities within the team to provide on-site training support as well.

Typical responsibilities include the following:

Assist in the development and creation of online training materials for self- paced as well as proctored trainingAssist in the development, creation, and execution of Instructor Led Training (ILT), Mobile Training Team (MTT), and On-the-Job TrainingMaintaining Instructors Guides (IG), Student Guides (SG), and related instructional materials, and the media to reflect changes to project(s) tools and processes; keeping in the guidelines of references (ak) and (al) the Naval Education and Training Command's NAVEDTRA 130 and 131 formats

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a minimum of a Secret security clearance to start, and will require a Top Secret to be obtained after on-boarding.This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and five years work related experience or a Master's degree and three year's work related experience, or a Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum two years of experience creating and delivering technical training.Minimum two years of experience developing and delivering online or in-person training.Technical expertise in one of the following; networking, network security, firewall or virtualization.Exceptional writing and editing skills.Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

Certified Military Trainer Experience or Corporate Technical Trainer ExperienceExperience in Instructional System Design (ISD)Experience with CamtasiaExperience with CaptivateExposure to best practices for template maintenance.Security+, CISSP or equivalent security certification

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY
