Specific Job Description :

Develops technical proposals to address problems or improve performance for various instrumentation and control systems for the US Navy. Coordinates implementation of system design changes. Assists in troubleshooting of control systems.

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Basic Qualifications

5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelors Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications

General level of knowledge in the following areas:
-Reactor Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems
-Reactor Plant cable protection and separation requirements
-Propulsion Plant Operations
Experience in the following:
-Using/Writing Technical Manuals
-Writing Technical Letters
