ARServices is looking for an experienced, dynamic leader and manager to support a DoD customer in creating, launching, scaling, and operating a Cloud-based incubator to test new technologies and partnerships to advance the agency's mission. The right person will be experienced in research and development environment, comfortable with new and emerging technologies, and a strategist able to move adroitly from concept to execution. This is an exciting time to help shape and implement a new program from the ground up.
We are seeking someone a confident and knowledgeable Project Manager with 10 or more years of experience in project development, funds management/control, resource management, personnel management, or other management, organizational, and business-related fields . Previous experience managing people is mandatory. Prior exprience managing a team and working in a research and development (R&D) or testing and evaluation (T&E) environment is mandatory.
The work will be performed from ARServices offices or Fort Belvoir, VA
Serve as primary Point-of-Contact for the customer on all matter related to daily project management including allocation of resources, staffing, financial management, and delivery of support Serve as a senior advisor to the customer in the areas of program design, development, and governance Provide project leadership including hiring of staff, review of work and deliverables, tracking of progress, allocating resources, ensuring compliance with administrative requirements, managing work on a daily basis, and facilitating communication and coordination with ARServices corporate staff Use state-of-the-art project management tools and best practices to deliver services efficiently and effectively Manage and motivate staff to deliver high-quality work and exceptional customer service Complete internal administrative duties such as timely reporting, approval of leave and timecards, expense reimbursement, and monthly internal reporting requirements.
Bachelors degree in Business or related discipline or scientific or technical field (such as engineering or information technology) from an accredited college or university At least 10 years of experience leading project teams, preferably in an R&D or T&E environment Prior experience managing a Task Order or contract over $1.0M in annual revenue Demonstrated experience managing a project to schedule and budget, including identifying and pro-actively managing constraints, conflicts, and risks Strong customer relations skills including ability to form partnership and working relationships with Prime contractor and other subcontractors Desire to mentor and develop others Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with multiple diverse stakeholders and partners within the Federal government and external Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint Minimum of current SECRET clearance
Masters degree in relevant field and/or relevant certifications Prior experience managing in a research and development environment within the Federal government Demonstrated ability to identify and productively engage with diverse stakeholders PMP® Excellent writing and presentation/speaking skills, including training and/or experience in facilitation
