Position Overview:
The Unarmed Security Guard secures the facility under established operating procedures and processes.
Specific duties to include (but are no limited to):
•Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd and/or some 12 hour shifts when necessary.
•Enforce regulations designed to prevent security breaches.
•Respond to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations and suspicious activities.
•Demonstrate the ability to take the appropriate action .
•Secure/safeguard crime scenes and preserve evidence.
•Perform access control duties.
•Perform crowd control as required.
•Perform personnel, vehicular and building facility checks, First Aid and CPR as required.
•Complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation per established procedures.
•Staff post continuously and provide access control.
•Control access to restricted areas.
•Report violations.
•Direct and provide information to visitors.
•May operate x-ray machines, magnetometers, hand-held wands and screen packages.
•Safeguard all assets.
•Provide assistance as required.
•Escort persons and equipment as needed.
•Conduct foot/vehicle patrols as required.
•Monitor unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance.
•Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOPs.
•Secure all exterior building doors and windows.
•Be familiar with "Post Orders" which outline responsibilities such as entrance/exit posts, roving posts, traffic posts, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma/GED.
•Some College or Associates Degree Preferred.
•Valid Driver’s License.
•Must have valid Alabama Security Officer license.
•Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
•Must be able to pass a Single Scope Polygraph.
•Must be able to pass a Background Investigation.
•Must be able to pass a Drug test.
•Must be able to pass a Physical.
•Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
