Overview
Capstone Corporation is currently seeking a Functional Analyst that will assist in the conduct of thorough analysis of experiment/exercise directives and objectives to provide orientation and focus for experimentation. This position is part of a contractor team in support of the Army Futures Command Sustainment Battle Lab (SBL) at Fort Lee, VA Center of Excellence. The SBL is tasked to support the Army Campaign Plan and the sustainment community by researching and evaluating existing and emerging Army sustainment processes, future concepts, force designs, and organizational relationships. The SBL plans, coordinates and executes Army experiments, wargames and seminars as well as studies and analyses. The Battle Lab participates in Joint, Army and multinational Service experiments in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Provides liaison with the experiment/exercise support teams and customers, including other military agencies, industrial partners, and educational institutions. Assists in determining and overseeing the synchronization of scenario execution, collection of information, and report preparation. Provides doctrinal expertise and instructions in support of operational exercises. Assists in the preparation and conduct of experiments or exercises. Assists in the preparation of scenarios and operations plans. Researches and incorporates data drawn from a wide range of sources, such as military policy, service missions, war plans and simulations, etc., in support of doctrinal development/modification, force development data base requirements, exercise scenario and simulation development. Conducts liaison with DoD agencies, Combatant Commands and component staffs, and public and private agencies and institutions in support of operational experiments/exercises, simulations, seminars, map exercises, scenario preparation and execution. Coordinates and assists in the preparation of the simulation databases, to include testing and validation. Reviews data collected proceeding, during, and following experiments/exercises to identify trends, insights, and inconsistencies with doctrine and to develop combat development feedback in a written format. Provides doctrinal and analytical expertise across all sustainment functions. Collects, assembles and analyzes inputs from exercise Observer/Controllers, workstation controllers and other sources as applicable. Provides executive summaries and written reports that capture exercise activities and outcomes with DOTMLPF-p implications for the Army. Synthesizes and analyzes information inputs to evaluate the completion of mission tasks and achievement of experimentation objectives.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum education and years of experience:
Master's degree, ORFifteen (15) years experience in a US military agency in progressively responsible command and staff officer positions.Minimum qualifications:
Experience in at least two (2) of the following: Experience with service and joint doctrine, to include combat, combat support, and combat service support operations. Extensive experience with service/joint staffs organization, functions and procedures. Extensive experience with service/joint organizations, operations, and exercises at levels comparable to Army Corps or echelons above. Experience in the preparation/conduct of seminars, study groups and map exercises for general and senior field grade officers. Experience in conducting instruction in both small and large group formats. Experience in the conduct of post exercise effectiveness analysis and evaluations. Experience in the compilation and presentation, in both written and oral formats, of lessons learned and after action review material designed for general officer and SES review. Experience with joint and service doctrine, to include combat, combat support and combat service support operations.\u2002 Clearance requirement:
Final DoD Secret clearance.
