Overview
Capstone Corporation is currently seeking Windows Administrator in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard's Network/Telecommunications Branch of the Chief Information Office.
This position is located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.
Responsibilities
Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, databases and data through planning, analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance to enhance of information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools. Performs complex IT functions including Intranet / Extranet Web site systems optimization. Analyzes current and future business needs and plans, providing guidance in development and design of hardware systems and software. Applies expert technical knowledge of Internet systems, services, hardware, and software technologies. Conducts technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation and management of new technology for Internet, Intranet, and Extranet, including Web development and technical management of web sites and web servers. Performs complex systems analysis, design, planning, development, implementation, management, update and application / website creation. Prepares business case analysis for IT solutions, including defining scope, objectives, and cost estimates for new or modified systems. Ensures system integration of all system components; e.g., procedures, databases, policies, software, web/applications, and hardware. Technical management of websites to include approved content, file management, site maintenance, database management, record archival and retrieval. Includes administration and file maintenance on web servers. Maintains cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility for web site accessibility. Provides departmental technical support for procurement, development teams and support associated applications, systems, software, and equipment. Provides SME support for process improvement project, events and special projects. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends IT infrastructure, new systems and/or technologies. Conducts feasibility studies and plans for the implementation of new IT systems and/or technologies. Develops functional and system requirements and specifications for new systems / technologies. Writes and maintains support documentation. Trains other system administrations. Formulates studies of hardware, software / Internet usability and accessibility requirements. Monitors logs, applies patches, STIGs, scans to prevent and defend systems. Leverages Network Monitoring tools. Assesses security events and implements corrective actions. Supports disaster recovery operations.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum education and experience:
Bachelors Information Technology-related discipline, or four (4) years of equivalent, relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Three (3) years of experience performing systems administration functions.Minimum qualifications:
Windows Server Administration. Web Server Management.Minimum certifications:
Level II IAT certification (e.g. Security+ CE).Minimum security clearance:
DOD Secret clearance.
