Overview
The Simulation Facilitator (Temporary on Call) provides response cell support to Joint Multinational Simulation Center in support USAREUR/USARAF exercises. Response cell support provides simulations and Mission Command information systems operator support to U.S. Army, Joint, and NATO exercises. The Simulation Facilitator executes set-up, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of U.S. military command and control related clients and software tools. Individual shall be the technical expert on the simulation-stimulation of the systems to include the employment of simulations and/or gaming systems that stimulate command and control systems.
Work locations will vary by exercise.
Responsibilities
Supports the design, planning, preparation, execution, and recovery of systems to support exercise control. Provides instruction to personnel as designated by the exercise/event lead to meet individual and unit training objectives. Works in support of IT system configuration; troubleshoot issues and provide IT quality assurance. Supports input into Exercise Support Plans and Exercise Support Manning Documents. Provides functional expertise to simulation database builds. Operates command and control and simulation systems. Analyzes military mission requirements in the context of developing computerized simulation exercises and training events. Tests stations and system configuration as part of the exercise preparation phase. Performs IT quality assurance of systems and provide feedback to system network administrators.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum education and years of experience:
Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of specialized experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of specialized experience; OR ten (10) years of specialized experience if no degree.Minimum qualifications:
Previous experience with military simulations exercises such as set-up, configuration,test, and operation of Simulations Control Systems (for example: simulations: Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Virtual Battle Simlation (VBS), Low Overhead Training Simulation (LOTS) and Mission Command Systems; Command Post of the Future, Command and Control Personal Computer, Global Command and Control Systems, Army Battle Command Systems, Counter-Rocket, Artillery, or Mortar Integrated Battlefield Defense System of Systems, and/or Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Systems).
Experience using Microsoft Office products required.
Able to read, write and speak fluent English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks at the same time under stressful conditions. Must possess valid state driver's license and maintain post driving.Clearance:
Secret clearance.
