Job Description:
CoSolutions, Inc. is looking to hire a Systems Administrator to support Navy ONE-NET operations in Yokosuka, Japan.
Coordinate operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations, and provide second level support for Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions encompassing heterogeneous platforms. Develop system support requirements by reviewing and analyzing customer business processes and evaluating available Enterprise Services (ES) and supplier capabilities. Support project teams in implementing new or upgraded designs and coordinate project efforts with support groups. Create plans that support implementation of changes. Participate in system support design and performance evaluation reviews. Advise on distributed network computing issues. Monitor and maintain security and integrity standards and controls. Assist in the evaluation, testing and recommendation of hardware, software, and network configurations based on customer need. Coach others in the application of new operational support technologies. Analyze user requirements and statistics to identify trends and resolve performance issues. Coordinate and approve updates of the site administration documentation. Keep abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends. Recommend appropriate price/performance improvement opportunities. Must possess an Operating System (OS)/Application Certification.
Responsibilities:
Network Technical Support (NTS) is the Tier III support for operations, providing technical SMEs on technology while providing engineering support for the design and implementation of new customer solutions.
The candidate will:
Provide engineering support to the TNOSC management while interfacing with PEO EIS and other functional teams involved with Planning, Architecture, and Engineering Services. Respond to manual and automated escalation of incidents for fault isolation and remediation. Identify network problems, document proposed solutions, and assist Government in preparing and submitting ONE-Net RFCs. Review, improve, and guide System Administrators and field technicians in the resolution of reported incidents. Perform other technology related tasks. Document changes to network configurations and the process for approval via the local and/or Enterprise Change Management process. Provide technical assistance in the configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and SW maintenance of IA Suites (firewalls, Intrusion Detection System (IDS)), routers, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) switches, servers, workstations, and overall Network support. Provide technical assistance to the LNSC as required, configuring or troubleshooting routers, ATM switches, and servers. Provide Tier III fault isolation and incident resolution support for networks and IA suites using the available network analysis tools and applications.
Requirements
Clearance: Active DoD Secret
Education: HS diploma or GED.
Certifications: DODD-8570 IA Technical Level 2 (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GISCP, GSEC, Security+/CE, or SSCP) and an applicable Operating System competency certification.
Experience: 5+ yrs experience
