Job Description
PRCS- Creating Community through People, Parks and Programs
We're looking for individuals who have good communication skills and are self-motivated to work as Instructors at various locations across the county. These part-time positions reach out to the community through our network of facilities which include parks, trails, community and recreation centers, swimming pools, senior centers, athletic fields, historic properties and a nature preserve. Instructors teach their skills or talents from the Beginner to Advanced level and for audiences from preschool aged to seniors or special needs.
Subject matter may include but is not limited to:
Arts and crafts Fitness Dance Aerobics Strength training Water safety Languages Standards Of Learning (SOL) subject matter Nature Historical Various sports Locations include Recreation Centers, Community Centers, Senior Centers, Sports and Parks and other Loudoun County sites/facilities. Schedules are flexible and can include days, evenings and weekends. Hours vary with the number of class sessions. Salary based on multiple factors including class skill level, technical expertise of instructor, and market demand.
Job Requirements
Requires the ability to teach others your special skill or talent, a passion for your field or skill area, and strong motivational and customer service skills. Program planning skills and knowledge of the developmental stages or learning styles of the target audience is required. May be required to have or obtain a First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days depending on the location/job.
