The UVA Physicians Group seeks applicants to fill a position for a Family Medicine Physician in our UVA Primary Care- Stuarts Draft Family Practice. This practice is a group of (6) providers and is associated with a well-respected, academic affiliated community hospital.

The University Physicians Group is a distinct organization from the University of Virginia, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the UVA Medical Center, but works collaboratively with these partners that make up the UVA Health System to provide high-quality patient care. Our physicians serve patients at the main UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville and throughout Central Virginia, including Culpeper, Richmond, Winchester, and additional future openings throughout Virginia.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of Accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty,

Experience: None

Licensure: Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current, Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Current DEA certificate without restriction

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
