We are currently seeking an innovative, experienced, and highly-skilled Data Engineer to join our growing Digital & Analytic Solutions team in Ft. Belvoir, VA. In this role, you will support the design and implementation of business critical data management & engineering solutions. The position will support the creation and development of custom solutions for our users in a collaborative, fast-paced, state-of-the art environment. To be successful in this role, you will be thorough, creative, and exceptionally well-skilled in all phases of the development lifecycle, with a passion for continued learning and collaboration.
*This position is located in Ft. Belvoir, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance*
Develop data structures and systems to support the generation of business insights Develop data transformation and data management strategies Define, design, and develop data requirements, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and logical and physical models Develop methods, policies, and procedures to capture and maintain metadata Develop standards for data profiling and to improve data quality Create procedures for data archival, retention, and de-archival based on policies Collaborate with data owners, domain SMEs, and technical SMEs, to process data sets and engineer new features as appropriate. Leverage process automation, to include automating ETL processes, data validation and quality checks, and other processes.
Active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related business or quantitative discipline Extensive knowledge and experience in overall ETL processes Must have knowledge of standard data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, ER Studio) and SQL. Experience with programming languages to include Python. Experience with high performance computing frameworks and environments. Experience with business process engineering, change management, and/or systems engineering is desired. Must have SQL knowledge and be able to write queries, functions, and procedures as needed Experience with business process engineering, change management, and/or systems engineering is desired. Able to articulate complex, abstract concepts concisely and effectively Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.#LI-SH1
