Responsibilities
OBXtek is currently staffing for an open position of Microsoft Exchange Engineer, SME on a Treasury Department contract in Washington, DC. The scope of task is to support the Agency\u2019s Electronic Messaging Infrastructure maintaining a stable, secure and highly available email environment.
Messaging Architecture Configuration, Troubleshooting & Support
Design and configure the Exchange infrastructure to maintain a stable, secure and highly available Exchange email environment through close monitoring and careful maintenance to minimize downtime and outages.
Messaging Client Support
Maintain a stable, secure and highly available Microsoft Outlook client environment through configuration, maintenance, and technical support.
e-Mail Security Patch Deployment
Ensure that the Agency\u2019s Exchange infrastructure meets security standards mandated by Security staff, Chief Information Officer (CIO), or other governing body. Every month Microsoft releases security patches and service packs that must be deployed to all Exchange servers on short notice.
Qualifications
Security Clearance:
Must hold a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI access
Must be a US Citizen and all immediate family members and all members of your household must be US Citizens
Experience:
Requires 10 years of technical related experience Requires MCSE in messaging and 5 years relevant experience (OR no certifications and 10 years relevant experience) Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and/or 2010\u2013 MOST IMPORTANT (2013 strongly preferred) including: Design, install, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, migration and upgrades to servers Exchange experience in large enterprise environment strongly preferred (5000+ users) Knowledge of the Active Directory Architecture.\u2022 Knowledge of DNS. Powershell Microsoft Exchange migration experience Knowledge of message routing and collaboration. In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2012 (2008 may be acceptable) Permissions experience Excellent customer service skills
