Job Title: Equipment Management Services Specialist

Description:
In accordance with management directives this position provides expertise with Caterpillar mobile fleet or stationary equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance repair recommendations, and timely communications to internal sales and service personnel as well as the customer base.
  Essential Functions:
This position mandates that the employee be able to perform all of the following functions:  
Utilize Caterpillar and dealer machine/asset technical information resources; Revue telematics connectivity systems to gather machine data and track assets; Analyze machine systems fluid analysis, machine/asset history information, and on-board/off-board machine data; Monitor engine fuel burn and powertrain/hydraulic component design life per Caterpillar and Dealer specifications; Utilize computer and literature based information to determine recommendations; Assemble digital Condition Monitoring recommendations for use in internal and external reporting; Develop, generate, and review accurate daily, monthly, and annual reports as required; Substitute for other positions in the department as needed, and other functions as assigned by necessity.   Summary of Duties:  
This position will track, monitor, and analyze technical information, or other data used with Caterpillar mobile and/or stationary asset fleet management; Use and maintain an electronic database or software application to evaluate and assemble vital information for distribution to Customer base, Sales, Rental Department, or Service Operations personnel; Review Customer Value Agreement (CVA) contractual machine health inspection report results; Develop Condition Monitoring and machine health information into a digital report; Initiate follow-up actions with internal and external contacts as necessary; Attend Caterpillar or Cleveland Brothers seminars or training as approved by management; Operate computers, office equipment and perform other office related duties as required.  
Knowledge and Skills Required:  
Thorough understanding of Caterpillar mobile and/or stationary assets, and other equipment used in earth moving, rental, and industrial applications; Advanced skills with service software suites and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheet, and Word processing in a Windows based environment; Will possess excellent analytical skills; Ability to prioritize duties, work both independently and within a team, and carry out assignments of varying complexity as well as considerable abilities in researching and analyzing machine history and repair information data; Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
Background Training and Experience:  
Progressive experience focusing on Preventative Maintenance, predictive repairs, and a thorough understanding of product support sales, service and support concepts, or an equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable to the Company.
