Job Description:
WR has a need for a Warehouse Specialist that receives, stores, moves, and distributes materials for the Enhanced Control Display Unit (ECDU) project.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Under general supervision, fill requisitions, work orders, and/or requests for material and distribute items to designated personnel.
Under minimal supervision, fills requisitions, work orders, and/or requests for materials and distributes items to designated personnel. With assistance, loads, unloads, and checks in materials. Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Opens bales, crates, and other containers and marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Electronically records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Assists with counting of physical inventory.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Four (4)+ years of experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping and receiving responsibilities. Two (2) + years of experience in performing work in support of military equipment material management, shipping, receiving, inventory, tracking, and handling. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as status reports. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL SKILLS/ENVIRONMENT Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Possess physical ability capable of lifting and carrying material up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, climb ladders up to 12 feet, see the computer screen and operate duplicating equipment. Generally performs work within a warehousing environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
