Job Description:
WR is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to become a part of the Material Management Team by providing professional and proactive assistance with all aspects of material handling.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Utilizes forklift and other machinery in the loading and unloading trucks. Matching purchase orders to sales orders/packing lists and distributing. Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas or to other designated areas. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins. Accuracy and compliant receipt, handling and shipping of all Government, Non-Government, and Company property. Proper processing/packaging of shipments. Operates company vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all Department of Motor Vehicles Operating Laws. Fills requisitions, work orders, or completes requests for material receipts, shipments, storage, movements, pickups/deliveries, and physical inventory. Opening bales, crates, and other containers. Accurately marking and recording amounts, of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate methods and database(s). Completing physical inventory for all locations company wide. Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness and safety at all times. Ensuring the warehouses are accessible and safe.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Six (6)+ years total experience: Four (4)+ years' experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping/receiving responsibilities plus Two (2)+ years of experience in performing work in support of military equipment material management, shipping, receiving, inventory, tracking, and handling Ability to read and interpret documents such as packing lists and shipping documents, as well as electronic inventory records. Ability to write reports and email correspondence in a clear and professional manner. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Possess physical ability capable of lifting and carrying material up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, climb ladders up to 12 feet, see computer screen, and operate duplicating equipment. Ability to perform work within a warehousing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have proficient computer skills to operate the Inventory Database. Ability to access Government installations. Ability to operate automatic transmission vehicles and forklift. Work well within a team but also able to work reliably and responsibly without constant supervision. Self-starter with outstanding accuracy and strict attention to detail. Experience with Government Property handling a plus.
Active Secret Security Clearance required.
