WR is seeking an Information Security Analyst that will promote governance and compliance with security and operational standards, policies and procedures as well as help develop and maintain the organization's operational information security strategy.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides technical expertise for daily monitoring, analysis and remediation of information security vulnerabilities and supports the implementation of organizational and regulatory controls on a broad range of technology assets. Supports program and customer requirements that require information security oversight, and helps to ensure secure and compliant operation of project assets. Conducts regular assessments against regulatory and organizational controls to ensure compliance. Participates in formal external audits from oversight organizations to demonstrate compliance. Advises and supports remediation steps to meet compliance goals. Monitors and analyzes data collected from cyber defense tools (SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Endpoint protection) to identify and report on events that occur or might occur within the network. Participates in response efforts during security incidents. Administers, manages and audits systems running a variety of platforms with a focus on Windows and Linux. Participates in the development and implementation of security controls based on evolving threats and identified risks. Implements network and system changes based on need and best practices that would enable scalability and security in the infrastructure. Performs vulnerability scanning and management.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Seven (7)+ years relevant technical experience At least three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a progressive information security operations or engineering group. Prior experience with network security. Thorough understanding of government regulatory requirements for information security with an emphasis on the defense industry (RMF, NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012). Experience with internal controls, risk assessments, business processes, control testing and security auditing & related applications, tools and solutions. Good understanding of network routing and switching architecture, design and troubleshooting. Professional writing skills with a focus on policy and procedure development. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Ability to identify and solve problems in concise and practical ways. Ability to work under limited supervision. Occasional travel may be required.
Active Secret Security Clearance required.
