As a Data Engineer you will be utilizing state of the art commercial and new methodologies such as DevOps (automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc.), distributed cm, and modern development tools, you will be involved in progressing system capabilities through early requirements analysis, architectural design, development, integration, test and site acceptance with a focus on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable methodologies.We are looking for a Data Engineer who will support our product with insights gained from analyzing customer data. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Data background with knowledge of CKAN, Apache NiFi, Data Ontology, building/using physicaland logical data models
- MUST HAVE a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience with machine learning, with statistical modeling and time-series forecasting
- Thorough/Working knowledge of research designs.
- Thorough/Working knowledge of collection methods, capabilities and tasking process.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and principles.
- Intellectual curiosity; creativity and innovation to go beyond current tools to deliver the best solution to complex problems.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
