B3 Group seeks a credentialed MuleSoft Lead & Architect to provide API and integration architecture leadership for the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) program in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA established DTC to improve its ability to support Veterans through the use of rapid, incremental improvements in information technology (IT) capabilities, driving a genuine working partnership between the business and IT, utilizing Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and other emerging technologies as transformation enablers.
Under the direction of Global Chief Architect & Salesforce Practice Head, the individual will lead end to end lifecycle of DTCs MuleSoft-related integration solutions. Specifically, integrate into client requests/intake process management, architecture/design, establishment of re-usable patterns, standards/processes and promoting them to partners (i.e. system integrators) through effective governance process, delivery/release (CI/CD) management and support operations. They will establish the application of common integration architecture concepts and patterns at the enterprise level to promote maintainability, reusability, scalability, performance, security and performance where needed.
B3 Sr. Technical SME is a highly experienced subject matter specialist in their respective technology. The Sr. Technical SME has vast experience in coordinating with program and project leaders to analyze technologies being utilize on the projects. Is able to thoroughly identify strategies for addressing requirements, risks, and issues. Is able to conduct detailed trade-off analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues. Is able to quickly resolve issues and create vision. The Sr. Technical SME will have vast knowledge of IT systems involving end user as well as enterprise level networks. Experience in designing and implementing systems that meet agency policy and regulations.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
Create/update architecture standards and processes to reflect current industry best practices for MuleSoft. Create/update cloud development/deployment standards to incorporate standards and processes for MuleSoft to reflect current best practices and customer development standards. Create/update customer componentized architecture standards and processes to include MuleSoft best practices. Create/update application modernization standards and guidelines to include MuleSoft architectural considerations. Create/execute MuleSoft architecture strategy, technical and security standards, management of common objects, APIs, user access management, single sign-on management, and release management in support of the different environments. Lead the development of various aspects of MuleSoft practice including governance, architecture std., operations planning, release management, resource requirements & building team, as necessary Collaborate cross-functionally across the DTC team (B3 Group, various system integrators, VA, Salesforce, other partners) to assist in implementation of standards, lead the governance process and promote best practices in release management & operations Establish, lead, and operationalize the automation of release management process (CI/CD) & respective tooling (Jenkins, Nexus, Git and other) that results in highest level of quality & agility Provide enterprise-level architectural design reviews of configurations and code prior to release to ensure adherence to most current MuleSoft implementation best practices. Ensure that systems that leverage MuleSoft technology are designed for maximum interoperability, flexibility, and scalability. Provide architecture governance oversight to ensure that design and other system changes align with interoperability and future development objectives and are consistent with customer open architecture and component reusability goals. Support and participate in formal customer architecture design and review processes. Support obtaining/maintaining ATOs for the MuleSoft cloud environment. Support liaison activities between the customer and the MuleSoft platform/software solution provider. Provide MuleSoft technical architecture expertise as needed in support of oversight, management, coordination, and deployment of updates to MuleSoft environments. Provide Mulesoft technical architecture expertise as needed in support of integration and data exchange via MuleSoft. Provide Mulesoft technical architecture expertise as needed in support of user issues with APIs in MuleSoft. In order to be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following skills and abilities:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field. At least 10 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture, and architectural frameworks. Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams (strong people manager) Demonstrated understanding of IT management, administration, applications, and system development lifecycles & operations in a large-scale mission-critical IT environment. At least 5 years of experience working on SaaS and PaaS technologies. At least 3 years of experience architecting MuleSoft solutions for enterprise customers. At least 2 years of experience architecting solutions for AWS or Azure environments. Current MuleSoft Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration and API Associate MuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration Professional MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with client and team members, including technical leadership experience. Excellent analytical skills, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills Self-starter who works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and a geographically distributed team Must be able to use a computer. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form. Must be able to obtain a government security clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
