B3 Group is looking for a Principal Salesforce Engineer to support a multi-year, high-profile software development project in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys problem solving, has come up through the technical ranks, and has worked as a Salesforce platform developer. Responsibilities include solving technical problems on a daily basis while handling escalated requests and mentoring the DTC Helpdesk Team for any Tier 3 technical issues.
A B3 Sr. Technical SME is a highly experienced subject matter specialist in their respective technology. The Sr. Technical SME has vast experience in coordinating with program and project leaders to analyze technologies being utilize on the projects. Is able to thoroughly identify strategies for addressing requirements, risks, and issues. Is able to conduct detailed trade-off analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues. Is able to quickly resolve issues and create vision. The Sr. Technical SME will have vast knowledge of IT systems involving end user as well as enterprise level networks. Experience in designing and implementing systems that meet agency policy and regulations.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
Working Knowledge of Salesforce Communities and Salesforce Service Cloud in large, enterprise-wide implementations Understanding current implementation and understanding of existing technical debt. Analyzing organizational capabilities in order to suggest process and performance improvement. Configuration and troubleshooting of Certificate and Key Management in Salesforce Configuration and troubleshooting of custom integration to include technologies like Mulesoft Troubleshooting of performance issues using tools like debug logs and dev console Troubleshooting and evaluation of flow errors Troubleshooting deployment & change management issues across multiple salesforce environments Troubleshooting system configuration and data management issues Partner cross-functionally on platform innovation and DevOps maturity Configuration and troubleshooting of single sign on and just in time provisioning (Knowledge of Active Directory) Code reviews Ability to troubleshoot complex data loads (e.g., governor limits, performance, process builders, apex timeouts) Collaborating with VA security and associated staff in identifying, planning, executing, tracking, and reporting all activities necessary to obtain/maintain ATO's In order to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Engineering or other Technical discipline required, OR a minimum of 8 years equivalent work experience. Five or more years' experience with a CRM, with a minimum of three years of Salesforce experience. Experience working through technical debt to drive down the backlog. Experience with Salesforce CI/CD toolset, optimization & troubleshooting of relevant processes Experience with multiple salesforce org environment and troubleshooting Capable of conducting code reviews and architectural reviews Certified Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I (required); other Salesforce certifications (e.g. Advanced Administrator, Community Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant) a plus. Experience and general understanding of networking technologies, firewalls to troubleshoot networking issues and determine root causes (i.e., Salesforce versus network cause). Experience with Salesforce App Exchange products. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams. Skill in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to use a computer. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form. Must be able to obtain a government security clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting. Desired / Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or other federal organizations. Experience with VA firewall system Trusted internet Connection (TIC) is preferred. Experience with MuleSoft is preferred. Successful B3 Group employees will display the following characteristics:
