Job Description:

A Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of a project and can work with a wide variety of installation disciplines to plan and execute shipboard Alteration Installation Team (AIT) installations.

· Identify customer/project requirements, generate labor cost estimates, Statements of Work (SOW) and identify material requirements based on customer drawings?

· Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

· Tracking project spend against completion using EAC/ETC or EVM methodology

· Maintaining clear and effective communication with the customer as well as contractual reporting.

· Coordinate the purchase request and track project material delivery.

Identify and coordinate delivery or shipment of project required materials and tooling.
Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of Navy installation standards such as NAVSEA STD ITMS. and TS 9090.310G.
Communicates with Technical Services Manager and senior management to keep the project aligned with customer expectations
Identify and prevent undocumented or unfunded scope creep.
Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change

Skills

The ability to delegate effectively
Time management skills
Experience in MS Office Products as well as Project Planning tools such as MS Project.
2+ years managing multiple projects
Active Security Clearance is required
