Job Description:

Overview

Provide advice, technical assistance and supervision to the training assistants and abstraction team for the QSRS, Outpatient, and HAI projects. Work with the customers to support all project needs, discussion of measure sets, and tool development. Work with management to set timelines and follow up on project deliverables.

Responsibilities
Provide training and cross-training to production team staff as necessary to ensure adequate staffing to meet production deadlines for each module. Coordinate and monitor the activities of the production team to facilitate successful and timely project completion. Monitor and adhere to project timelines and other relevant documentation. Oversee project cleanup. Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Participate in project-specific workgroup activities. Lead production team meeting at a minimum of once per month. Access, analyze and report team and individual performance, including productivity, accuracy, and attendance. Provide counsel to management, other Project Coordinators and employees on issues concerning team and individual performance. Interact appropriately with peers and other co-workers. Contribute to building a positive team spirit. Implement the company's philosophy, policies, procedures, and practices to achieve business objectives. Communicate and build commitment to change; monitor changes and evaluate results. Directly supervise a team of Medical Record Abstractors and Training Assistants. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Demonstrate commitment to AA and EEO. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Recommend staffing adjustments as necessary. Maintain files and records as required. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Establishes and maintains effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal Ability to work well in a team environment, to collaborate with others, and interface with team members internal and external to the organization Must be able to adapt to organizational change Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented Ability to lead and direct a team, manage resources, and to collaborate with managers across programs Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Internet Explorer preferred. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity. Demonstrated strengths in human relations including motivational and conflict resolution skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. 5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
Qualifications
Four (4) years clinical experience in a hospital or medical facility is required. Experience in project management and/or supervisory capacity required. Quality Assurance and/or training experience is desirable.
