Job Description:

Purpose and Scope:

The RAM Engineer provides maintenance and supports analysis and assistance.

Essential Responsibilities:
Perform RAM requirements development and specifications for satellite systems;
Develop models and analysis for various SATCOM systems;
Develop design reviews and assessments;
Develop test planning and evaluations;
Conduct failure/repair analysis and develop corrective actions and reliability growth plans;
Perform support analysis;
Perform supply chain tasks
Participate and assist in various project reviews, meetings, and working groups
Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and makes minor adaptations and modifications.
Provides independent and professional support on portions of complex projects.
Assigns project objectives, approaches, and reviews possible solutions for accuracy and completeness.
Independently performs project assignments that involve complex features, codes, standards, and other precedents of the discipline
Analyzes and/or evaluates the results of an analysis using techniques prescribed by senior engineers or supervisors, and accomplishes tasks which require investigation of many variables.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active secret security clearance.
Demonstrable knowledge of DoD RAM Regulations required.
Extensive background in RAM modeling, design techniques, predictions, reliability growth management, requirements generation, and software and specification inputs is required.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and six years of applicable experience.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical mechanical room and roof environments with no unusual hazards, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The work area will be free from debris, dust, liquid spillage, and food particles. Maintains all workspaces in a clean and organized manner.
